SkyDNS resolution intermittently fails when at least 1 master is down in an HA setup

Issue

  • When I ran S2I build, following timeout happened.
F0322 19:00:13.090061       1 builder.go:185] Error: build error: timeout while waiting for remote repository "https://github.com/openshift/cakephp-ex.git"
  • I tested and found dig @172.30.0.1 kubernetes.default.svc.cluster.local failed.
  • Service endpoints not getting cleared out of "kubernetes" svc in case of master fails

Environment

  • OpenShift v3.1.x
