"Caught exception registering channel in JXM" error in JBoss log

Issue

  • While trying to start JBoss, we are getting the exception messages:

    ERROR [org.jboss.cache.TreeCache] Caught exception registering channel in JXM
javax.management.MalformedObjectNameException: Invalid character ':' in value part of property

     at org.jboss.cache.TreeCache._createService(TreeCache.java:1477)
     at org.jboss.cache.TreeCache.createService(TreeCache.java:1389)</code>
