Why does iscsi repeatedly log 'session ioctl failed' and 'Could not find session to update' after a reload or SIGHUP on RHEL4?
Issue
- iscsid sometimes loops on session ioctl ISCSI_ESTABLISH_SESSION
-
The following messages echo until iscsid is restarted.
Mar 2 15:39:10 node iscsid[17054]: iSCSI session ioctl failed for iqn.1992-08.com.netapp:sn.151701990, Resource temporarily unavailable: Resource temporarily unavailable Mar 2 15:39:10 node kernel: iscsi-sfnet: Could not find session to update Mar 2 15:39:10 node iscsid[17055]: iSCSI session ioctl failed for iqn.1992-08.com.netapp:sn.151701990, Resource temporarily unavailable: Resource temporarily unavailable Mar 2 15:39:11 node iscsid[17054]: iSCSI session ioctl failed for iqn.1992-08.com.netapp:sn.151701990, Resource temporarily unavailable: Resource temporarily unavailable Mar 2 15:39:11 node kernel: iscsi-sfnet: Could not find session to update Mar 2 15:39:11 node kernel: iscsi-sfnet: Could not find session to update
