Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Oracle RAC10gR2 or 11g
  • /etc/security/limits.conf as follows or similar to:
    
    *          soft     nproc          2047
    *          hard     nproc          16384
    *          soft     nofile         1024
    *          hard     nofile         65536
    *          soft     stack          10240
    *          hard     stack          32768
