RHEL 7 Hyper-V guest hangs during live migration
Issue
- During a live migration on Hyper-V a RHEL guest hangs unrecoverably with the following on console:
BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 23s! [kworker/u128:2:19080]
- Blocked tasks may also occur
- The system does not recover with out a forced reboot
Environment
- RHEL 7
- Kernel-3.10.0-229.20.1.el7.x86_64
- Microsoft Hyper-V guest
- Live migration or scsi hotplug
