After renewal of my subscription, all my content hosts no longer have valid subscriptions in Red Hat Satellite 6

Issue

  • Contract renewals require customers to re-add subscriptions to their activation keys and systems on Red Hat Satellite 6
  • After renewal, systems registered to Satellite 6.x are marked invalid unable to perform update or deploy new systems

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.x (all versions) at renewal time, as well as others that use a candlepin backend for subscription management, including Subscription Asset Manager (SAM) and Red Hat Customer Portal Subscription Management
