Can we use virtual shared disks as a storage backend for persistent volumes.

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • As our OSE deployment is on Vmware, we would like to have support for vmware virtual shared disks as a storage backend for persistent volumes. This would be best implemented as a generic shared disk backend, similar to the existing Fiberchannel backend, and could be used for virtual shared disks for Vmware, libvirt, RHEV etc, as well as shared physical disks such as multi-initiator disks.

Environment

  • Openshift Enterprise
    • 3.1.1
