Issue

  • When logging in Desktop, below messages keep coming up in /var/log/messages:
Mar 24 09:53:52 vap058 pulseaudio[65262]: core-util.c: Home directory /XXXXX not ours. 
Mar 24 09:53:52 vap058 pulseaudio[65262]: lock-autospawn.c: Cannot access autospawn lock. 
Mar 24 09:53:52 vap058 pulseaudio[65262]: main.c: Failed to acquire autospawn lock
  • or seeing:
Mar 28 14:49:18 localhost pulseaudio[10331]: main.c: Failed to acquire autospawn lock
Mar 28 14:49:19 localhost pulseaudio[10337]: core-util.c: Failed to create secure directory: Permission denied
Mar 28 14:49:19 localhost pulseaudio[10337]: lock-autospawn.c: Cannot access autospawn lock.
Mar 28 14:49:19 localhost pulseaudio[10337]: main.c: Failed to acquire autospawn lock
