When printing text with lp command, the lines aren't wrapped properly in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4

Issue

Reports that have 132 columns when printed with lpotions of cpi greater than 16 are not printed properly.
Printers print 80 char wide instead of 132 char wide.
After updating to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, when printing with lp command, the text output looks bolder and text wrapping doesn't work properly causing the output to look dirty
When using texttopaps filter to print text files using lp command, the font looks bolder and cpi and lpi values in lpoptions are not honoured properly
