When printing text with lp command, the lines aren't wrapped properly in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4

Issue

  • Reports that have 132 columns when printed with lpotions of cpi greater than 16 are not printed properly.
  • Printers print 80 char wide instead of 132 char wide.
  • After updating to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, when printing with lp command, the text output looks bolder and text wrapping doesn't work properly causing the output to look dirty
  • When using texttopaps filter to print text files using lp command, the font looks bolder and cpi and lpi values in lpoptions are not honoured properly
