virt-manager and virsh gets blocked because error "cannot acquire state change lock"
Issue
- A Red Hat 6.2 system gets in a strange condition where it was no more possible to operate with
virt-managerandvirsh. Each command exits with error:
error: Failed to shutdown domain NEW_Master_1
error: Timed out during operation: cannot acquire state change lock
- It was also impossible to kill one of the running virtual machine.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2
- libvirt-0.9.4-23.el6_2.4.x86_64
