Oracle Database configured to use encryption wallet fails to start with error "ORA-28365: wallet is not open" in RHEL 6 or 7 High Availability cluster with pacemaker
Issue
- After adding pcs resources to manage an Oracle Database SID, the database no longer auto-opens the wallet to decrypt the tablespace, and external connection attempts fail
- I can't start an Oracle Database in a
pacemakercluster if it uses an encryption wallet - Starting Oracle via the
ocf:heartbeat:oracleresource results in an error opening the wallet
ORA-28365: wallet is not open
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or 7 with the High Availability Add-On
pacemaker- One or more
ocf:heartbeat:oracleresources configured in the CIB- At least one such resource is configured to use an encryption wallet
