pinging a hostname results in a delay in RHEL7
Issue
- Pinging a DNS name gets a delay in response on RHEL7, but ping direct to IP address is okay, and on RHEL6 ping both DNS name and IP address do not suffer a delay
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- ping to a DNS name, such as
ping www.example.com
