RHN remains old information even after updating kernel.

Issue

  • Although our customer updated (from 2.6.32-431.17.1.el6) to 2.6.32-573.12.1.el6 with rpm command then rebooted the system and issued rhn-profile-sync command, RHN remains old kernel version in "System info".
  • However, the newer kernel version is listed in "Removable Packages"(Software -> Packages -> List/Remove).
