Why doesn't RHEV display an alert when a cluster's resource utilization surpasses the High Availability threshold?
Issue
-
Within RHEV there is the ability to enable specific Virtual Machines as "Highly Available" within the "High Availability" section of the properties of each VM.
-
However there is no restriction or even alert when creating additional virtual machines within a cluster causes the available resources in the cluster not to be sufficient to guarantee the failover of HA VMs should a host in that cluster fail.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3.
