VG is seen missing after patching the server.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • One of the VGs is seen missing after patching the server.
  • When the VG was available, it was using /dev/mapper/mpathX device

  /dev/mapper/mpathc   my_vg lvm2 a--  200.00g       0 

After patching the OS OR due to some other reason, partition is seen to have been created on the mpathX device, as such VG is seen missing
