Flash plugin makes firefox freeze or crash x86_64

Issue

While playing flash videos in firefox using flash-plugin provided by Red Hat on x86_64 RHEL 6 system, the browser starts to freeze or crash. This is caused by nspluginwrapper which doesn't pass some variables through firefox.

Environment

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 x86_64 (any version)
Firefox (any version)
flash-plugin (package provided by Red Hat Network)
