Encrypt configuration values in EAP 6

Issue

  • Can you advise how we can encrypt the values in the configuration files of EAP 6? For example the bindCredential of a LdapExtLoginModule (security-domain) in standalone.xml?

  • The Vault Keystore for ldap "bindCredential" is not working with the following setting:-

<module-option name="bindCredential" value="${VAULT::wasadminlocalte::password::XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX}"/>
  • When LDAP configuration passwords are configured using XML attributes and not XML element values, as shown below, the vault encryption does not work:-
<module-option name="bindCredential" value="${VAULT::someblock::somepwd::XXXXXXXXXXXXXX}"/>
