Browser doesn't cache resources from JBoss

Issue

  • Some resources in JBoss Portal (like https://server:8080/portal/scripts/3.8.16.Final-redhat-1/SHARED/jquery-min.js) are cached by Chrome but not for Internet Explorer. I see IE sends a request with "Cache-Control: no-cache" every time. I'm using IE Developer Tool to investigate.

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Portal
    • 6.2.0

  • Internet Explorer 11

  • Potentially, any web application and any browser
