JON provisioning bundle deletes files or directories in the destination

Issue

  • Bundle is erasing all the deployment directory
  • Contents of destination /opt is deleted
  • How to keep the original folder as is, instead of cleaning it?
  • JBoss ON takes ownership of directory on initial deployment
  • Deployment of a bundle to a destination will wipe all files that are not in the bundle
  • Request the option to ignore directory contents on first install be added as a feature

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
  • Deployment of a JBoss ON provisioning bundle
  • Bundle destination contains folders that are included in bundle
  • Bundle destination contains files at its root directory
    • and bundle's rhq:deployment-unit element defines the attribute compliance="full"
      • or bundle's rhq:deployment-unit element defines the attribute manageRootDir="true"
      • or bundle's rhq:deployment-unit element does not define either of the attributes compliance and manageRootDir
