Question about yum groupinstall jboss

Environment
- Installing jboss eap 6.4.5 via yum groupinstall creates a directory structure which contains symbolic links to /etc and /var. Is this the expected default behavior? (IE the actual installation goes to /usr/share/jbossas, but domain directory is symbolic link to /var/lib/jbossas/domain which configuration directory here points to /etc/jbossas/domain.
