Is it possible to determine RBD device size using the 'virsh' command?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I want to pull the RBD device size at nova/qemu layer. I've and tried this command:
# virsh domblklist instance-0000060c
Target Source
------------------------------------------------
vda testnode-cinder-volume-1/53g912e6-ab12-4b1f-84c3-63dc0e7e2843_disk

# virsh domblkinfo instance-0000060c vda
error: internal error: missing storage backend for network files using rbd protocol
  • Is there a way to pull the size of an RBD device per VM at the qemu/libvirt layer?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack
  • Red Hat Enterprise Ceph Storage
