Why puppetrun failing on Red Hat Satellite 6?

Issue

  • Getting below error while executing Run Puppet from Satellite GUI > All hosts > Host profile > Run Puppet, after upgrading Red Hat Satellite from version 6.0 to 6.x:
failed to execute puppetrun: ERF12-4252 [ProxyAPI::ProxyException]: Unable to execute Puppet run ([RestClient::InternalServerError]: 500 Internal Server Error) for proxy https://satellite.example.com:9090/puppet

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.1.x and later.
  • Puppet 3 Onwards
