Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 installation failed with the reboot --eject kickstart command

Issue

  • I tried the installation of Red hat Enterprise Linux 6.7 on the machine with two DVD drives.
  • One drive (sr0) had the installation media. The other (sr1) was emtpy.
  • I got the following error at the final phase of the installation.
Traceback (most recent call first):
  File "/usr/lib/anaconda/storage/devices.py", line 4057, in eject
    fd = os.open(self.path, os.O_RDONLY | os.O_NONBLOCK)
  File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 1143, in <module>
    drive.eject()
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/dev/sr1'
