How to explicitly name network interface in enps0fX convention for the overcloud nodes ?
Issue
- When I just use the 4 onboard 1Gbps interfaces I can use the NIC aliases, but I also have additional 2 dual port 10G network cards within my server. When I want to use them the system boots at all, regarding wrong pointing of interfaces. So can you please explain where I can find the overcloud interface mapping, meaning is my
enoXis mapped tonic1or isens1fXlinked tonic1? - Currently, for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Openstack 7 - the names are similar with ethx, but by default, for RHEL-7, I think it should enps0fX.
- How about the benefit and disadvantage for both cases?
- Where I can find the interface mapping, meaning is my
eno1is mapped tonic1or isens1f0linked tonic1?
Environment
- Red Hat OpenStack 7.0
