Unable to start Java application on NFS server and getting "lockd: cannot monitor XX:XX:XXX:XXX" error on NFS client

Issue

  • Java application is not running on NFS server, getting below error :
Caused By: java.io.IOException: Error from fcntl() for file locking, No locks available, errno=37
  • NFS Client logs :
Jan 20 16:10:42 nfs_client kernel: lockd: cannot monitor 192.168.122.169
Jan 20 16:10:42 nfs_client kernel: lockd: failed to monitor 192.168.122.169
