rsyslog, why are logmessages not logged into /var/log/messages ?
Issue
- Systemd did put /etc/rsyslog.d/listen.conf file, then "logger test" fails. But "logger test -u /run/systemd/journal/syslog" works fine.
- systemd modifies rsyslog configuration, then logger without parameter fails
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 and 7
- rsyslogd
