What information to capture for RHV snapshot and storage migration failures

Issue

• Typically whenever Red Hat Technical Support have to analyse a failure in one of the following areas, some additional supporting data is requested during the investigation ;

  • Snapshot deletion (with VM not running)
  • Live Merge (snapshot deletion, with VM running)
  • Move disk to another storage domain (with VM not running)
  • Live Storage Migration to another storage domain (with VM running)

• This can lead to delays in providing relief and/or a resolution to the problem.
