mod_cluster connection growth after JBoss restart

Issue

  • We perform a load test and then restart JBoss (no httpd restart). We then rerun the same load test, but then JBoss AJP thread counts grow quickly until the pool is exhausted.

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
  • JBoss Enterprise Web Server (JWS) 3
    • Apache httpd 2.4.6
    • mod_cluster 1.3.1.Final
  • Windows
