Unable to print CUPS test page in RHEL

We need to configure a remote printer on Linux server. Make: Generic, Model: Generic text-only printer. While trying to print a test page, we are getting error:
Print Test Page lp22 Error Error: Unsupported format 'application/vnd.cups-banner'!
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Common Unix Printing System (CUPS)
- Text-Only printer
