Password encrypted via security-domain throws ERROR PBOX000016: Access denied: authentication failed

Issue

• Encrypted datasource password using the security-domain but unable to identify the invalid login credential. The following exception is thrown:

• Getting the following exception when using a custom secure login module:-

• I have encrypted the password using security-domain, but at runtime getting the ERROR below. However, the datasource is logged as bound, which to me shows the database connections were successful. Is there something I have done which is causing the Access Denied to occur?
