Router Failover does not work correctly in the same network segment
Issue
- We have multiple ha router instance a single network segment for different development stages. Sometime, a ip becomes unavailble, because the address is bind on all nodes, sometimes its not binded.
- Below error is seen :
VRRP_Instance(ipf_ha_router_ewu_VIP_2) Dropping received VRRP packet...
ip address associated with VRID not present in received packet : 10.x.y.z
one or more VIP associated with VRID mismatch actual MASTER advert
bogus VRRP packet received on eth0 !!!
VRRP_Instance(ipf_ha_router_ewu_VIP_1) Dropping received VRRP packet...
ip address associated with VRID not present in received packet : 10.x.y.z
one or more VIP associated with VRID mismatch actual MASTER advert
bogus VRRP packet received on eth0 !!!
Environment
- OpenShift Enterprise 3.0, 3.1
- OpenShift Container Platform 3.2
