JBoss ON resources which require native support are reported as DOWN when managing agent is started with native support disabled

Issue

  • Discovered events are marked down via agent that reports No native library available
  • Resources marked down and sub or child resources as unavailable:

    WARN  [InventoryManager.availability-1] (rhq.core.pc.inventory.AvailabilityExecutor)- Availability collection failed with exception on Resource[id=11011, uuid=012345ab-6789-9876-54cd-3e2f1a00bb12, type={Platforms}File System, key=/home, name=/home, parent=jon-agent-01.example.com], availability will be reported as DOWN, reason=Availability check failed : No native library available - Cannot get file system information
    
  • Agent is unable to discover or retrieve file system availability

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.3
  • JBoss ON agent has been started with configuration parameter rhq.agent.disable-native-system set to true or --nonative or -t command-line argument
