Why NFS lock service does not start after system crash?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are simulating a database server crash on RHEL 7.1, where the database is hosted on Netapp Cluster mode filers.
  • NFS lock service is not starting properly after system crash.

  • On our earlier RHEL versions, this is ok, as we have the file /etc/sysconfig/nfs file set to :

STATDARG="-n $HOSTNAME"
  • This does not seem to have the same effect on RHEL 7.1

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1
