Why screencast recording stops after 30 seconds ?

Issue

In RHEL 7.1, GNOME could capture a screencast by hitting CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+R. This would record a .webm screencast and save to ~/Videos.
Unfortunately, following the upgrade to RHEL 7.2, these screencasts stop after ~30 seconds.
