kdump hangs with "Out of memory" error during vmcore collection
Issue
- When the system panics
kdumpstarts, butkdumphangs and does not output a vmcore. I see following error messages on the console:
Kernel panic - not syncing: Out of memory and no killable processes...
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Kdump
