Unable to mount san partions containing ocfs2 filesystem

Issue

  • While mounting the ocfs2 file system we are getting the following error message:

    Unable to access cluster service while trying initialize cluster

    Also, there are lots of following error messages in /var/log/messages file on cluster node:

    modprobe: FATAL: Module ocfs2_stackglue not found. 
modprobe: FATAL: Module ocfs2_dlmfs not found. 
modprobe: FATAL: Module ocfs2_stackglue not found. 
modprobe: FATAL: Module ocfs2_dlmfs not found.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
  • Oracle cluster
  • OCFS2 filesystem
