The Domain option is not correctly set in idmapd.conf when ipa-client-automount is used to enable autofs.

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • ipa-client-automount adds the Domain as last line in /etc/idmapd (so it ends up in the wrong section)

  • It should be like this:

    [General]
Domain = local.domain.edu

  • Now it ends up in the [UMICH_SCHEMA], resulting in uid:gid = nobody:nobody

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 and 7
  • ipa-client
