RHEL6.7 NFS4 client loops with NFS4ERR_BAD_STATEID errors and NetApp 8.2.2P2 7-mode and delegations enabled
Issue
- MQM instance utilizing NFS4 going down unexpectedly
- D-state and/or defunct processes
- tcpdump at the time of the problem shows a very high count of NFS4 READ or WRITE operations completing with NFS4ERR_BAD_STATEID (10025)
- Just prior to the hangs, we see a a 'bad sequence-id' error, as described in https://access.redhat.com/solutions/397213
May 1 09:41:30 localhost kernel: NFS: v4 server mynfsserver returned a bad sequence-id error!

- NetApp Release 8.2.2P2 7-Mode
- NFS client
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7
- 2.6.32-573.12.1.el6
- NFS4 with delegations enabled
