How to add a new host provisioned in Satellite 6 to a OS version specific hostgroup in Red Hat Identity Management?
Issue
- When creating a new host within Red Hat Satellite 6.1 and adding that system to a specific host group results in the possibility to have the system correctly added to an specific host group in Red Hat Identity Management.
- The way to do this is via automembership.
- In IDM I have created an automember for host group 'test' with the inclusive attribute 'userclass' and expression '^test'.
- When I create a RHEL7 system in Satellite within the host group 'test' this system is added to the host group 'test' within IDM.
- However... this system is a RHEL7 system and therefore I want this host to be added to the host group 'rhel7clients' within IDM.
- To get this done I have created an automember rule 'rhel7clients' in IDM with the inclusive attribute 'nsosversion' and the expression '^RHEL7'.
- I expect this to work. But it does not.
I expect the host to be added in IDM to the host group 'test' as well as to the host group 'rhel7clients'. - My overall question here is, when Satellite is sending information to IDM when creating the host, exactly what information is send to the IDM?
- Is this an XML? Where can I find the information?
Environment
- Red Hat Satellite 6.1
