Issue

  • postgresql service is not getting started.

  • A clustered service containing a postgres-8 resource fails to start:

    Nov 12 12:31:13 hostname clurgmgrd: [3150]: <err> Looking For IP Addresses [postgres-8:PostgresqlDB-Resource] > Failed - No IP Addresses Found
Nov 12 12:31:13 hostname clurgmgrd[3150]: <notice> start on postgres-8 "PostgresqlDB-Resource" returned 1 (generic error)

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • Clustered service with a postgres-8 resource
