  • Accessing RBD images on an Erasure Coded pool errors out with "librbd::ImageCtx: error reading image id: (95) Operation not supported", why?

  • The errors are as following:

# rbd -p <pool-name> info <RBD-image>
2015-12-23 15:21:00.597918 7f33bcba3840 -1 librbd::ImageCtx: error reading image id: (95) Operation not supported
rbd: error opening image <RBD-image>: (95) Operation not supported
