Gnome desktop failure on Vmware RHEL7 guest after package update.

GNOME desktop is not starting on RHEL7 guest(running on Vmware Server) after recent package update. It is showing error on console
"Oh no! Something has gone wrong. A problem occurred and the system can't recover. Please log out and try again." -
The error now occurs consistently, since it started this morning. The GNOME desktop was working fine before the reboot.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2
- VMWare Server (ESXi 5.5)
