Issue

  • Users report KDE panel disappears and desktop becomes black. The message in the .xsession-error files is: "KCrash: Application 'plasma-desktop' crashing...".
  • The workaround of restarting the plasma-desktop (kquitapp plasma-desktop; plasma-desktop --graphicssystem native) resolves the issue, but often only temporarily.
