How to identify association between parent process and its child sub-process ?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Is there any way to find out all the subprocesses of a parent process in the Business Central UI ?
  • When instantiating a process that creates subprocesses, e.g. parent process A starts an instnaces of subprocess B, how do I know which subprocess B corresponds to which parent process A ?
  • It would be very useful to have the following:
    • When viewing the Process Model for an active/completed/aborted/etc process instance, it would be nice to be able to click on the subprocess activity node(s) and have the Business Central load the Process Model for the associated subprocess instance
    • When viewing the Process Model for an instance with subprocess node(s), it would be nice if mousing over the subprocess node(s) resulted in the subprocess instance's ID being displayed
    • When in the Process Instances view, it would be nice to have a sortable "Parent" column that displayed the ID of the parent process that spawned the process in question, if applicable.
    • Including a parent process instance ID in results from REST calls would also be useful, as well as being able to query for child process instance IDs for a parent process
