Cman hangs at boot time in my RHEL 6 High Availability Cluster with Pacemaker when one node is off-line or unavailable

Issue

  • When booting one node in my RHEL 6 HA cluster with Pacemaker, cman hangs at boot and pacemaker never initializes. Failed fence messages are seen in the logs, though fencing has been tested.
  • Starting the cluster manually as shown below works fine:
# pcs cluster start

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 w/ High Availability
  • Pacemaker
