Unable to add AD domain using engine-manage-domains.

Issue

  • While adding domain to RHEVM the error messages are like:
# engine-manage-domains add --domain=<Domain_name> --provider=ad --user=<User_name> --ldap-servers=<Comma_separated_list_of _LDAP_servers>
Enter password:
Error: LDAP query Failed. Error in DNS configuration. Please verify the Engine host has a valid reverse DNS (PTR) record.

Failure while testing domain <domain_name>. Details: No user information was found for user
  • The RHEVM has valid DNS, PTR and A records and need to add specific LDAP servers as all LDAP servers do not have access from RHEVM.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.5.
  • ovirt-engine-extension-aaa-ldap
