RHEL 6 mail problem when using TMPDIR variable
Issue
If variable name TMPDIR is exported and if the directory does not exist, mail will not be sent out.
You will receive error message: temporary mail file: No such file or directory
The return code from the failed mail command is 0.

mailx-12.4-6.el6
