How to expose registry without securing

• It is recommended that you run a secured registry" in order to expose it.
  Given that passthrough (TLS) is the only type of route that can be used for exposing the registry, I presume we don't have the open not to use a secured registry, even for the non-production or evaluation purposes ?
  In case we might be able to opt for a non secure registry ayhow, how would the route configuration look like?
