Generated RHEV reports doesn't contain any new data and the hourly/daily tables is empty

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.5

Issue

  • RHEV reports doesn't have any recent data in any of the reports generated through reports portal.
  • The hourly and daily tables also doesn't shows any new data.
  • Samples are collected in *samples_history however no data in the hourly and daily tables.

Diagnostic Steps

  • Check if lastHourAggr and lastDayAggr is getting updated. In this case these two values was getting updated which means aggregation is working. However there was no recent data in the hourly and daily tables.
ovirt_engine_history=# SELECT * from history_configuration;
  • Check if we have any recent data in hourly and daily tables.
 ovirt_engine_history=# SELECT history_datetime from vm_daily_history order by history_datetime DESC limit 5;
  • Check if the samples are getting collected correctly. In this case samples will be collected however no data in the hourly/daily tables. 
SELECT history_datetime,vm_status from vm_samples_history limit 5;
