Why network service restart throws the error "some other host already uses address X.X.X.X" ?
Issue
- Getting the following error while restarting network service.
host1 ifup:Error, some other host already uses address x.x.x.x
- Servers won't rejoin network after reboot. There are no other host in the network with the same IP.
- Network will not start after reboot, says IP address in use
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6 and 7
- Network Devices such as Cisco ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance )
